Membership Requirements
The NHPC has a strong tradition of high professional standards and is committed to maintaining these standards for massage therapists across Canada.
To ensure public safety, and to determine good character and suitability for membership, applicants must meet certain membership requirements:

NHPC massage therapists must have graduated from an NHPC recognized two-year, 2,200-hour training program, have been a member in good standing with a massage therapy regulatory college, or have completed a massage therapy training program recognized by a regulatory college

Private massage therapy programs must be vocationally licensed, and the curriculum must meet the IJ-Doc competencies

Applicants must provide a recent police information check, complete with a vulnerable sector search

NHPC practitioners must meet English language proficiency requirements
